Mechanical Boss（メカニカルボス）とは、Hardmodeで出現する3体のボス The Destroyer、The Twins、Skeletron Primeのことを指す語。
Hardmode突入後、プレイヤーが最初に戦うことになるであろうボスたち。
召喚アイテムを作成して夜間に使用するか、Demon/Crimson Altar破壊後、毎夜10%の確率でメッセージとともに出現する。ランダム出現の発生はEye of Cthulhu同様、該当ボスを1回撃破することでストップする。彼らの討伐はさまざまなフラグにかかわっている。

- "The jungle grows restless..." というメッセージが表示される。
- Plantera's BulbがUnderground Jungleに出現するようになる。
- Solar EclipseでReaperとMothronが出現するようになる。
