足場。設置可能範囲が非常に広く、ブロックやPlatform、木や草など背景オブジェクトの周囲８マス、あるいはWallのあるマスに設置できる。

ブロックと家具両方の性質をあわせ持つ。Platformの上にChest.png Chestや家具を置くことができる。
Hammerを使うと形を階段や低い足場に変えられる。変化したPlatformには家具を置くことはできない。
Banners (enemy)やHeart Lantern.png Heart Lantern等吊り下げるタイプの家具はPlatformに付けることはできないが、階段や低い足場に変化したPlatformの下には付けることができる。1.4.4から吊り下げられるようになった。
ハウジングにおいてはDoorとして扱われる。ブロックとしても判定されるので、床ブロック1個以外がすべてPlatformでも家判定となる。

横方向に一マス間隔で設置されているなら、落ちずに駆け抜けることができる。
下からジャンプするなどして触れるとそのまますり抜ける。
上から触れるとこの上に着地する。ただしMinecartに乗っている時は着地せずすり抜ける。
下を入力すると下に降りられる。Hookを引っ掛けることができる。
足場のすぐ下に居る時に上を入力すると足場に登れる。

NPCは降りることはできるが、高い位置にある場合ジャンプで乗ろうとはしない。
Blue Slime.png Blue Slimeは乗ることはできるが降りることはできない。Zombie.png Zombieは降りることができ、高い位置にあるときはジャンプで乗ろうとする。
足場として認識されるため、この上から敵が湧くことがある。

プレイヤー、敵双方の攻撃がすり抜ける。
ブロックの場合はボスの前を遮られるとほとんどの攻撃が届かなくなるが、こちらは通常通り攻撃が可能である。
逆にブロックなら防げるボスの攻撃が、こちらでは防げなくなってしまっている。

安価に作れることもあり、Rope.png Ropeと並ぶ探索で非常に有用なアイテムだと言える。

なお、通常のPlatformは溶岩に触れると破壊されてしまうが、Obsidian Platform.png Obsidian Platformは最初から溶岩の多いUnderworldに生成される関係からか、溶岩では破壊されず、溶岩を下に通す。
Stone Platform.png Stone PlatformAsh Wood Platform.png Ash Wood Platformも同様に溶岩で破壊されない（アイテム化した状態で溶岩に投げ込むと焼失する）。
The Underworldに対Wall of Flesh用の足場を作る場合は覚えておくと良いかもしれない。

Echo Platformは、素材のEcho Blockと同じく設置しても通常は見えず、
Spectre Goggles.png Spectre GogglesやEcho Chamber.png Echo Chamberを装備・起動した状態でのみ見ることができる。

ver.1.3や1.4.4等における主な変更点

  • 元のブロック1個から、足場を2個作れるようになった(以前は1個)
  • 大半のクラフトが作業台なしで行えるようになった
  • 1.3から最大スタック数が999に、1.4.4から9999になった
  • 可逆クラフトの実装(足場2個←→元のブロック1個)
  • Torch、Banners (enemy)、Lanternを設置する事が出来るようになった
