[編集] Features and Mechanics（特徴としくみ）

• You can now get quests from the Angler NPC for cool rewards. Each time you complete a quest, the rewards progressively get better.
• （和訳）釣り師（Angler）NPCからクエストを受けることができて、ナイスな報酬が待っている。クエストをこなす度に、もっとナイスな報酬に。
  • 釣り師はOceanにスポーンする模様。海面にいる場合もあるとのこと。
    • （検証しました：海面上で横になって寝ている場合あり。Largeの場合で陸から世界の果てまでのちょうど中間程度の位置。話しかけると立ち上がるが、立った状態では浮いていられないらしく海底に沈む。）
  • クエストは一日に１回受けることができる。達成したか否かに関わらず、朝になった時点で新しいクエストに切り替わる。

• You can now use critters as bait for fishing.
• （和訳）生き餌を釣りに使うことができる。
  • 虫網で捕まえることのできる、一部の生物（蝶、蛍、ワームなど虫系）を使用できる。

• You can now ride around in style on the new Minecart system.
• （和訳）あっちこっちへトロッコ（Minecart system）で移動できるようになった。
  • 線路は金床で作成できる。
  • 線路を右クリックすることでトロッコに乗ることができる。降りるときはツールなどを持って左クリックするか、脱線して停止している状態で移動（Ａ、Ｄキー）することで降りることができる。
  • 線路の末端部をハンマーで叩くことで、〔停止〕→〔なし〕→〔反転〕の順に切り替えることができる。また、線路の分岐点を叩くことで接続を切り替えることができる。
  • トロッコに乗ったままだと羽などを装備していても落下ダメージを受ける。（検証求む）

• Beaches no longer feel so empty.

  • ワールド生成時にヤシの木、ヒトデ、貝殻が生成されるようになった。Acornを砂浜に使用するとヤシの木の苗木を植えることができる。

• Truffle Worms now spawn in hardmode Mushroom biomes. Be wary using this bait near the Ocean.

• Added Smart Cursor. This can be toggled using control and has an interface option. Smart Cursor makes digging, chopping, placing, and breaking much faster and easier.
